… and back home in the USA 🇺🇸

… my heart feels like it’s being squeezed: heart-strings tugging at me, and leaving me with an immense sense of satisfaction and accomplishment. BUT - also with a tinge of sadness, missing lots of new friends I’ve made and places that I am still carrying in my heart … one of my longer trips has come to an end! But I think of it more like a pause - since I am a traveler at heart!
So cheers - Salud! Muchachos … to the beautiful places and people of these recent travels: from the BALKAN countries across through eastern Turkey to the Caucasus; then to Eastern Europe in-depth after a brief stint on an Egyptian Nile cruise; onwards to South America: Brazil back again - Amazonia for Xmas, and then onwards to visit the countries in Patagonia (Chile & Argentina), and bonus an Antarctica cruise to the sea of Glaciers🇦🇶 - the seventh continent finally!
Finishing-off the trip with a loud bang! 💥 A cruise ship 🚢 craze following the various routes of the Vikings, and I can definitely say aí squeezed a lot out of this trip:
… aproveché, conocí, y aprendí - I learned more about myself and to appreciate family, and even got to finally start that website and travel blog I always wanted to.
So, SALUD 🥂 muchachos!
Stepping-back in time and reading and studying about the Viking exploits of old: I adore Viking history - from their first conquests out of Norway towards the British isles and Ireland, and later from Sweden to the Baltic Sea 🌊 (and eventually via Eastern European rivers to former Constantinople)!
Retracing Viking steps, I have been very fortunate to have visited all
of Norway 🇳🇴 via three separate maritime trips: including the Arctic ⭕️ circle (North cape and Svalbard), the western and southern Norwegian fjords and then over on a Baltic cruise to Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Denmark and finally another boat trip from Norway towards Iceland:

retracing Eric the Red’s voyage to Greenland 🇬🇱 , and his son Leif Erikson’s trip to North America 🇨🇦 (Newfoundland) - already booked for the summer!
